Membership Fixed Costs

Taranaki Gliding club membership fee cost breakdown as at 1 July 2018.

Gliding NZ affiliation fee	$100 p.a.
Soaring NZ magizine subscription	$75 p.a.
Taranaki Gliding Club component	$300 p.a.
Taranaki Gliding Club insurance excess scheme contribution	$25 p.a.

Prices are GST inclusive.

 

Gliding NZ affiliation fee is reduced to $0 if the affiliation fee to Gliding NZ has already been paid via another gliding club.

Gliding NZ affiliation fee is reduced to $0 for Junior members (under25) in full time study (YGNZ members working full-time pay the normal GNZ annual subscription for full flying members, less the YGNZ membership fee).  However a Youth Glide New Zealand (YGNZ) membership fee of $30 applies to Junior members (under 25) (if this has not already been paid via another gliding club).

Soaring NZ magazine subscription does not apply if a copy of the soaring NZ magazine is already sent to the same postal address.

Taranaki Gliding Club component is reduced to $0 for Junior members (under 25).

Taranaki Gliding Club component is reduced to $0 for tow pilot members.

Taranaki Gliding Club insurance excess scheme contribution is compulsory for all Taranaki Gliding Club members flying as pilot in charge (PIC) (ie solo) of a club aircraft.

Financial year runs from 1July through to 30 June. Joining between 1 July and 31 January = 100% of Fee, joining between 1 February and 30 April = 50% of Fee, and joining between 1 May and 30 June = 25% of Fee.

In addition to the above Gliding New Zealand also levies (via its gliding clubs) a fee of $100 to the registered owner of each glider on the CAA aircraft register.

Social membership of the Taranaki Gliding Club is a flat fee of $35 p.a.
